Enter bibliography pc computer software. When you look at the dinosaur part, we now have bibTeX. Given that true title implies, it really works with (La)TeX. Plus it’s nearly as old, having been released in 1985. It runs on the ordinary text file with an easy to use (and brittle) format for many its information, along with to run LaTeX three times to be sure all recommendations are actually proper. This places perhaps the old two-pass compilers to shame, but that’s just exactly exactly how bibTeX works.
